How to set up 7zip?

#1 Post by Belanos » 26.04.2016, 03:59

I've recently given this utility a try, and I like what I see. So much so that I've donated for the 64bit version. One thing I came across is the option for having an unpacker button in the menu. However, it only works with the internal unpacker, and I use 7zip as my default archive utility. Is there a way to change the default setting so that the program uses that tool rather than the internal routines? If so, how would I go about doing that? I've tried to add the program using the Archiver Plugins option in Settings, but it doesn't seem to work.

OK, but where do I get a wcx file that I can use in Free Commander? I'm using the default 7zip program, and it doesn't exist there.

Oops, I just answered my own question. I even managed to get it working as well. It's going to be very handy just needing to click an Unpack button instead of using a right click menu. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Thanks, but I've already found it. It's going to be nice being able to unpack all my archives with just a click of a button. Nice feature.
