Disable 'create link'

#1 Post by MikeGB » 04.08.2016, 11:11

Freecommander often tries to 'create a link' when I am trying to copy or move things, is there any way to disable this or switch to 'copy' as the default at all times?
Have looked through all the settings but haven't found anything that looks relevant.

If you use Copy/Move option "Use Vista+ method...", then check in copy/move dialog the Settings tab.
Deactivate option for "Create hard link - if possible".

I've got a 'vista+' option for 'all drives' or 'not local drives' but can't find an option to 'deactivate - Create hard link ' appearing when I select either vista+ option.

Have found that Freecommander freezes when I select either 'vista+' option and then 'apply' or 'OK' and have to close it with task manager and it goes back to 'freecommander method when I start it again.
PC has just done the update to Win 10 AU x64, don't know if that might have anything to do with it as it seems to have messed up a lot of other stuff

Freezing must have been some setting I was using as tried a fresh install and Freecommander is OK now with 'vista+ for all drives' set, does having that set stop the 'create link' as it seems to be just defaulting to copy or move now, depending on action.
