don't "blanken" new file/folder creation name box

Every time we click new File/ folder creation command/ icon, we get a fresh box.

Often we need to create several files/ folder which are named "similarly" with slight modification.

So, it would be convenient if previous last used name of the file/ folder is presented in the file name box in such new creation command.

or may be even a drop down arrown can be given which shows a history of past 5-10 names used, so that we can then select.

Thanks.

If you need to create several files/ folder which are named "similarly" with slight modification, then you can create one folder, move cursor on it and when the next time you click new File/ folder creation command/ icon, just press Down key on keyboard and you will see that folder name.

oh, drop down box having history of previously created file is already there.

For years I have felt that need several times, but couldn't notice that small arrow and thus couldn't use. so I thought to post here.

It is ok. may be if the drop down box appears already open so no one can miss it.

Thanks.
