Permanent file exclusion when searching?

#1 Post by catweazle9 » 13.11.2017, 22:10

When using the "Search files/folders" dialog, I almost always want to exclude searching in certain files, e.g., *.exe;*.dll;*.obj;*.zip, many hundreds of which exist in our source tree.

Is there a way to configure FreeCommandXE such that the "Exclude files" field is automatically set to a given list of exclusions every time the search dialog is opened? I'd prefer to not have to keep switching to the Filters tab and selecting from an earlier list. I'm used to quickly pressing a key to open the dialog, immediately typing the search string and pressing Enter.

If there's an existing config file setting that would be great.

Thanks, John.
