FC Thumbnail Cache

I'm a recent user, and have been enjoying FC. I think its Donation scheme is nice, and am considering to become a donor. My question is about privacy and speed. Is there a cache for thumbnails, or FC takes thumbnails from Windows Explorer? If there is, where is it, and is it possible to move to a specific drive/folder (and how)? If there isn't a cache, how to speed up Thumbnail view in a folder full of videos and pictures?

Appreciate any help, thanks.

FreeCommander use thumbnails from Windows. If Windows does not provide a thumbnail for a file, FreeCommander tries to create the thumbnail in a different way.
FreeCommander has no own cache file for thumbnails.
Unfortunately, due to an internal bug, the view is relatively slow. An improvement should be available in the 786 edition.

Thank you for the reply! I've searched, but no specific answer came out.

Two more then:

- The Beta is 780, so 786 is still some months in the making?
- If I do a year donation, can I get a discount on a future lifetime?

Thanks.
