Favorites Tree Category State Not Saved

#1 Post by wwwKris » 18.06.2019, 16:31

In the release notes for version 606, it says the following: "Favorites tree - category state (expanded/collapsed) will be saved"

I'm using Build 792 64-bit donor and the category state doesn't seem to be being saved. Is there a setting that needs to be enabled?

Here's a screenshot of what I mean. I'm trying to find a way to have categories closed by default when I launch FreeCommander. The release note seemed to indicate that the state would be remembered on close but it doesn't appear to be working.

It works currently only in if you save colapsed nodes in dialog Shift+Ctrl+F.

Thanks Marek, tested that and it works great! I can now have categories default to closed which is exactly what I was hoping for. :-)

FYI, one thing I noticed is that dragging a favorite from one category to another triggers a save as well ... i.e. if I drag a favorite into another category, it automatically opens the category and sets the default state to open the next time I launch FreeCommander.

Not sure if that's intended functionality or not but thought I'd mention it as triggering a state save only when someone opens/closes the category in the dialog might be slightly more intuitive/consistent.
