Unwanted creation of Thumbs.db file
When I copy a file from the left to the right pane where the file already exists on the place where the file exists FreeCommander XE is creating on both the copy from as the copy to direction a Thumbs.db system file. I can't delete these right away and that is quite annoying. Why are these files created and can I do something to prevent the creation of these files?
Re: Unwanted creation of Thumbs.db file
No Thumbs.db files are creating here. Tested with custom and default settings, with quick viewer enabled, FC 806, Windows 10.
Are you using option "Use IrfanView/XnView to load images"? These programs may create such files, but you can disable creating these files, at least in XnView.

Re: Unwanted creation of Thumbs.db file
Thank you for the feedback. As to the option : "Use IrfanView/XnView to load images": I have searched the settings of Freecommander XE, but could not find this so I don't think I use IrfanView/XnView to load images. As to the general settings to prevent Thumbs.db files to be created: I already altered the general settings in the past to prevent that Thumbs.db files are created and that helped for sure, but not completely.
When I checked the settings of Freecommander XE I however noticed that I selected to use Freecommander XE instead of Windows for copying and moving files. I switched this back to Windows and hopefully that will prevent the Thumbs.db files to be created.

That option is in Viewer > Settings > Multimedia.
