unwanted thumbnails pop up on move or copy

I'm using Free Commander XE 2014 build 650
I find that when dragging a folder from one pane to another or to the recycle bin a thumbnail image of the item being moved or copied pops up and is moved with the mouse pointer sometimes resulting in an incorrect placement of the item being moved or copied.
I did not experience this in the previous version or in the Beta version of XE. I seem unable to stop this from happening. Am I missing something here ?
regards
Ted

I have, at least temporarily, decided to go back to the previous version as I cannot get rid of the unwanted thumbnail images attaching themselves to the mouse pointer when dragging from one pane to another whether copying or moving a folder or file.
I have desktop and a laptop. I have left FC XE on the laptop but as my main PC is the desktop I could not carry on with XE.
Does anyone else have this unwanted thumbnail problem.

Open your FreeCommander.ini file (you can find its path by going in your FC XE's menu Help/About) and look for this line:

Code: Select all

DragDropUseWindows=1
Change it to (and then save the .ini file):

Code: Select all

DragDropUseWindows=0
Note: use Windows Explorer because FC XE must be closed during this operation.
