If I edit the path in one pane (as in the screenshot highlighted on the right side) and press the edit path button (or select the drop down menu) on the other pane (left highlight), the focus does not change - it stays on the right side (same behaviour if you do it the other way aroud). the same happens if I'm editing the path and then try to copy the path on the opposite pane: since the focus stays on the wrong pane, also the copied text is wrong.
