Files on Google Drive being deleted after move.

#1 Post by mr » 05.02.2016, 16:35

FreeCommander XE 2016 Build 716 64-bit, Windows 7 SP1 64-bit

I am having an itermittent problem where when I move files in my locally snyced Google Drive folders, they get deleted. The process works like this:
I move the files to a different or new folder. The files appear in the folder and I see the 'syncing icon' (2 arrows). The files get synced to the cloud. Then I return to the destination folder and the files are missing.
I find the files in the recycle bin and restore them.

This has happened quite a few times, but it is not consistent - I can't reproduce it.

It is obviously serious and I've been corresponding with Google tech support. They have stated that nobody else has reported this problem.

I do not use Google Drive but it is not normal by MOVE?
How exactly you make the operation - drag&drop, copy - paste, FC move, Win move?

Drag and drop.
Yesterday I discoverd that the recycle bin on my C drive was corrupt, so I rebuilt it.
Note that all of my Google Drive stuff is on D, which is a physically different drive.
I'll see if the the problem recurrs and let you know if it does.
Thanks.

Have you the option "Use blocking transfer" for drag&drop ON?
If no, then try use it.
