FreeCommander XE 2016 Build 707 32-bit public beta on Windows 7 64bit
Folder/Compare doesn't look at the contents of nested folders.
1. Copy a C Drive folder, which has nested folders, to a memory stick.
2. Do Folder/Compare (Alt+V) of the main and the copy. Result 'Identical' => CORRECT
3. Delete the contents of one of the nested folders on the memory stick - Or change the contents of a file in a nested folder.
4. Do Folder/Compare (Alt+V) of the main and the copy. Result 'Identical' => WRONG
5 Do Folder/Synchronise (Alt+S) of the main and the copy. This shows the missing/changed files. => CORRECT
Folder/Compare (Alt+V) - NOT A BUG - but check your settings

Re: Folder/Compare (Alt+V) Bug
Can't confirm in FreeCommander XE 2016 Build 716 32-bit.
You should check that in 'Tools' - 'Settings' - 'Compare folders' you have following settings set to on:
+ Folder name
++ Size
++ Date of last change
So when you
Delete the contents of one of the nested folders on the memory stick (even partially).
And
Do Folder/Compare (Alt+V) of the main and the copy. Result 'NOT Identical' => CORRECT

Ah... That's the problem !Timon wrote: You should check that in 'Compare folders' you have following settings set to on:

Thanks for that - so not a bug.
Not sure why 'folders' isn't selected as default.
Maybe there aught to be a message that says 'identical' with a warning that lists the settings.
I've changed the title.
Maybe admin can move or remove the thread.

It is rather usefull to switch on 'Tools' - 'Settings' - 'Compare folders' - 'Show dialog with options'.
With that dialog you can quickly change preferences for each compare.
Some time ago I thought that it is very uncomfortable to press Enter key 1 more time, and I always need same compare conditions, but after some time I understood how it helps.
