UNC paths and existing FreeCommander windows

#1 Post by markb » 22.06.2017, 10:25

I have a weird problem with FreeCommander and UNC paths

All works well when using a command similar to

FreeCommander.exe /l=\\server1\c$ /t /N /NewIni=FreeCommanderTest.ini /NoPlugins /Lng=English

and then

FreeCommander.exe /l=\\server2\c$ /t /N /NewIni=FreeCommanderTest.ini /NoPlugins /Lng=English

I get two windows one with each path as expected in the left panel

If I use a command like

FreeCommander.exe /l=\\server1\c$ /t /N /NewIni=FreeCommanderTest.ini /NoPlugins /Lng=English

then

FreeCommander.exe /l=\\server2\c$ /t /c

I get two tabs in a window as expected but both will show the path \\server1\c$ (ie the first UNC path loaded)

The same thing will happen if you try :

FreeCommander.exe /l=\\server1\c$ /t /N /NewIni=FreeCommanderTest.ini /NoPlugins /Lng=English

then

FreeCommander.exe /l=c:\windows /t /c

you end up with two tabs both showing \\server1\c$

However try :

FreeCommander.exe /l=c:\Windows /t /N /NewIni=FreeCommanderTest.ini /NoPlugins /Lng=English

then

FreeCommander.exe /l=c:\Program Files /t /c

and you get two tabs as expected each showing the path requested

I am doing this on a Windows 8.1 PC with FreeCommander XE 2017 Build 740 32-bit public
