Synchronize always deletes files permanently

FreeCommander XE 2017 Build 740 32-bit public
Windows 7 Entreprise SP1 64bit
Compare 2 folders where left pane folder contains a file not existing in the right pane folder.
Synchronize by selecting "Backup of the right side" - with "Files which exist only on the left" set to "delete"
Then sync
The left hand side is deleted. The file is not present in the Windows recycle bin.
The behavior is the same whatever the setting in "File/folder operations" for action "delete" are.
