Mouse pointer jumps when try tp select files in list pane with mouse dragging

#1 Post by adroria0000 » 19.10.2017, 08:51

The problem seems to be started since update Windows10 CU to FCU.

Reproducible always

Steps To Reproduce:
1. Open ffolder which contains manys file and subfolders.
2. Scroll to middle in list pane
3. Try to select files with mouse dragging

Actual Results:
Screencast: https://youtu.be/kPKgwl6ebyM
Mouse pointer jumps to the top-left or the top-right or the bottom right or the bottom-left of screen
And the list pane unexpectedly scrolls

Expected Results:
Mouse pointer should not jump.
the list pane should not scroll until the mouse pointer reaches the pane edge

I can reproduce the bug with FreeCommander XE 2017 Build 761 64-bit donor
on Windows10 Home 64bit Version 1709 build 16299.19

Edit: it's curious, I have tested another computer and different builds of the donor version portable and setup (744, 755 and 761) and can't reproduce the bug with Windows10 Pro 64bit Version 1709 build 16299.19

Mouse coursor jumps after the click in the lower right corner of the folder pane

Have same problem.
I realize that I am using the donor editions but this is the only place I noticed this mouse-click issue.
Have WIndows 10 Pro 64 bit PC with the Fall Creators Update, ver. 1709.
Using FreeCommander XE 2017 Build 755 64-bit donor.
When I click on a window with files, example a flash card with photos, the cursor jumps to the right and I cannot click select any of the files.
Very annoying.

I have another Windows 7 32 bit partition on the same PC and that problem is NOT there with FreeCommander XE 2017 Build 755 32-bit donor.

So to me it looks like a WIndows 10 problem.

Hi there,

my reported bug occurs after importing my exported settings from an older version and other computer.

When I reset all the settings by deleting the configuration folder placed in the user appdata folder the bug is gone. At the moment I can't determine which of the settings produces the bug.

I think it is a combination of the FC settings and several changes in windows 10 1709.

I would say - send your config files to Marek.

Hi all,

I also have this problem (with Mp3tag and FreeCommander) and I'm pretty sure it is linked to the Windows 10 FCU-Update.
When I reset all the settings by deleting the configuration folder placed in the user appdata folder the bug is gone.
Deleting the SETTINGS directory (portable installation) did not change this weird behavior on my system (Win 10 Pro 64bit FCU).
I think it is a combination of the FC settings and several changes in windows 10 1709.
I think it's some (older?) libraries clashing with Windows 10 FCU.

Hi,

I have this same issue, also on Win10 . I have found the same behavior happening in another application, so this is not an isolated issue.
I'll link to the post I made on the forum of the other application so if on either side a solution is found, it can be beneficial for the other.

Same issue here. FC 771 64-donor_setup
This happens when selecting in the empty space in a pane which can be horizontally scrolled to the right.
Win 10 64.
Thanks.

That does not help if another 1000 people report this bug here. This is Microsoft bug.
It would be better to report that in Microsoft Forum!
There are many programs affected.
