Foxit Reader

#1 Post by herring1 » 07.08.2008, 22:02

When Foxit Reader is used as the PDF viewer on my computer, it comes up with a bookmarks sub-pane to the left of the document in the right pane. This greatly reduces the available space and text size for the document view. I assume this is an artifact of listing .pdf files “as Internet” in the settings for the QuickView pane. I have tried moving .pdf to “as Text” and “as Image” but neither of those allows text selection in QuickView.

The sub pane can be killed by clicking its own x box, or by double clicking the sub-pane, which brings it above the plane, and then killing it. Either of these gets a bit tiring to do when cruising lots of files.

I can go back to Adobe reader but prefer to use Foxit Reader as a .pdf viewer. Any suggestions on settings to keep the Foxit bookmarks sub pane removed? Thanks jon

For me, unchecking the "Restore last view settings when reopening" in Foxit's Preferences --> General --> History stops the Bookmark panel always being there.
