Sorry for the simple question, I am very new at this. Is there a way to view Desktop files? I use the "tree view" but I can only view a drive, like "C". Thank you.

There is a Desktop toolbar button, you can also use favorite folders and favorite toolbar and even the keyboard shortcut.
You can also support request to display desktop in the file list/tree ... as I see, you found it already.

Desktop files can also be found in the "C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Desktop\" directories.
