Question about Winrar and FreeCommander

#1 Post by macatk » 23.04.2009, 21:32

Hi
I was wondering if there is a way use winrar "extract from here" menu function with a FreeCommander Favorite Tool or any other method of extracting getting it command to work from a hotkey? Also I just started using the flat file option?

You can use the integrated (un)pack feature, toolbar icon, or (customizable) keyboard shortcut (Alt+F6) - use option "use current dir" to upnack the file(s) in the current folder. Note that not all archives are supported yet.

BTW Please change your avatar, animated avatars are not allowed, for more check the forum rules. Thanks.

Avatar fixed, I was really hoping to use Winrar for the extractions as allthe files are rars and it handles them the best. I just dont know how to set it up properly to get it to work. Thanks for the help.

FC supports RAR archives, you can use just one (customizable) shortcut/hotkey and Enter.

Perhaps also WinRAR has such a feature - global shortcut, don't know, I don't use WinRAR.
