How to Backup my FTP Settings

#1 Post by parcou » 27.11.2009, 09:46

I moved from XP to Windows 7 and I was able to copy the .ini file to get my setting for looks, favorites, etc. etc. However my FTP Connections did not come over for all my host connections. What file I need to copy so I can move it to Windows 7?

Thx

It should be FreeCommander.ftp file - copy also FreeCommander.shc file (keyboard shortcuts).

Might be a UAC problem. Win7 is a dog's aunt. Did you copy the whole FC directory or use the installer and just copy the INI files?

I didn't try FTP-ing while I was fooling around in 7 for a few days, but I did see that my settings were there. I had copied all from a USB drive that I carry my favorite tools on.

Yep...I installed the latest version and copied over the .ini file. When I found the ftp stuff was not there and did not know what to copy I copied the whole directory... I think I made things worse due to lack of knowledge....
