File copying and deleting

#1 Post by Tronmkiheda » 28.11.2007, 22:56

Your programme is brilliant :D. That much for free! Bud there are 2 things, I don't like. If I am not wrong, deleted files are deleted for good, not only moved into a recycle bin. This should be only optional. Else you can lose important data, as I did. Advanced file moving and coping would be also helpful, Windows default is terrible. In total commander you can see and create queue and progress, you can choose to copy files on background. This is very helpful when copying large numbers of files and folders onto a slow disks - like MP3 players.

Hi.

For me - deleting is the same like in Explorer. Deleted files are placed into recycle bin. (FC 2007.10)

The second thing - copying other than windows default - I fully agree. But I saw this request here in the forum already.

Right, check the Recycle bin settings and make sure you're using Delete key, or button, not Shift+Delete or even Wipe.

Me too, so don't be lazy, use search and add your support there. You should also read the forum rules.

No new request - moved to General.
