No sound when playing a video file in quick view

#1 Post by Galton » 21.10.2012, 04:18

I have installed FreeCommander 9 on my laptop with Windows 7 64x.

Every thing is working fine with the exception of the sound missing when
playing a video in quick view. The video plays fine but no sound.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Works fine here in Windows 7 x86. Have you checked the audio mixer panel (accessible through the speaker icon in the system tray)? When you play through QuickView, a separate volume control for FreeCommander should appear in the mixer, and in your case it could be either at minimum or disabled.

Yes the extra volume control is there, is set at 42% and is not muted.

Still doesn't work.

Thanks.

What about audio files, mp3, other video files, different extension, format?

Perhaps you could try another plugin to play the file, and/or install missing codecs.

By "FreeCommander 9" do you mean FC 2009?
If so, I wonder if it would help to try the beta version of FC instead? Just making a wild guess here.
