How to disable mouse movement - "tracking or hooveing" .

#1 Post by kraft_mk » 29.12.2012, 18:14

Thanks for this great Free app.

One question that really bothers me .
Its File/folder selection.
I am used to classical method ""without" any kind of mouse movement "tracking or hooveing" selection.
I tried all the options in the "select" menu but whatever I do, FC always detects how my mouse moves over folders and files.
I want to disable mouse tracking or hovering 100% (as in WC or NC).
This is really annoying specialy if you are connected remotely on a PC.

Thank you!
K

Settings > Select items > disable "Hot Track only" and the 2 other options and very important is to set the Hover time to 0.

Thank you for your reply.
I tried that 100 times. Never works but I will try to be more specific with my problem.

Example :
1 - One Click on a folder -> Folder is (only) marked with blue color...
2 - Move your mouse and FC tracks the mouse movement and (with lighter blue color) (pre?)marks the folder or file with small "popup info" window.

I want everything in No.2 , disabled.
Thanks.

If the next tip doesn't help, please make a screenshot.

Settings > File/folder list > enable the option "Theme off" [v], then restart FC.

And don't forget to set the Hover time to 0.

LOL.
I feel like a total begginer.
I an trying to find "Theme off" [v] without any success, all day.
Is this some global windows setting or FC only because this option (Settings > File/folder list >) is not available on my (latest) FC version (@Win7). Nothing similar in FC settings but so many forum threads with the same option.
Or maybe I am blind :)
Thank you and Happy New Year!

I'm sorry, the option is for the XE version, in the old version there should be the hiden ini option...

- open the FreeCommander.ini file in the text editor
- close FreeCommander
- search for the [Form] section and edit or add this line:

Code: Select all

FilePanelThemeOff=1
- save the ini file and open Freecommander

In the new XE version you don't need to edit the ini file, perhaps you could try this version, it is stable, just few options are not implemented yet, like FTP and layouts...

Happy New Year to you too!
