#1 Post by rangabhupal » 17.06.2013, 09:51

Hi All,
i have downloaded a new version (XE 621). i have configured the Notepad++ as my editor. when i select multiple files and hit F4, it is opening only one file in Notepad++ which is top on list, NOT ALL Files.

could anyone guide to open all selected item list in my editor.

thanks in advance.

I can't do it either; using Notepad2 as my preferred editor.

- Try to define favorite tool with Notepad++ and define as "Parameter:":
%ActivSel%
- Select some files and klick on defined favorite tool

Thanks for the tip. Defining as a favorate tool, it is working as we expected. But not as a normal external tool.

In older versions (i used to use 2009.02b) this feature is available. When I select multiple files and hit F4, all files will be opened in Notepad++.

Using a favorate tools for set of few operations on selection of mutliple files, is not proper I think. As I am using for single file usage F4 (built in command to open external tool which is configurable) and expecting the same for multiple files (like it used to be in older version 2009.02b).

any other suggestions ...

Changed for the release 629:
- %ActivSel% added to the parameter list
So you can define %ActivSel% as parameter and F4 opens then all selected files.
