THUMBNAIL VIEW For PDF doesn't work?

Hi, I am trying to get FC to show me thumbs of PDF files. Setting the view type to View Images doesn't show the thumb.

In Windows Explorer I can see thumbs when the view type is set to Thumbnails.

How can I get FC to show thumbnails like Windows Explorer does?

Thanks!

Check your settings: Extras->Settings->View->Image browser. Deselect all formats in the table and save the settings.
I hope this help.

Good to know, but how can user know about this? Perhaps there sohuld be some note...

Thumbnails for videos now work good - hmm... but not perfect, there is just a black screen on most videos. More here:

That did it.

Thanks! Marek

I was thinking I had to add an extension type .pdf for it to work.

Hello,

sorry to revive this old post but after spending almost 2 hours looking for a solution I still could not find it.

I cant see PDF thumbnails, I only can see file icon, after clicking on the icon I can see a PDF bigger preview but no thumbnails...

I also tried using different external plugins like sLister and uLister with no luck.

Could anyone help me please ??

Thanks a lot !!

I have installed the portable version of FC XE 2014 Build 650

Install the actual full SumatryPDF from here

SLister uses a copy as viewer it but doesn't install it.
After installing you can also change the Slister ini file and point it to the actual Sumatrapdf.exe.

Sorry, I have to revive this one again. Can someone step me through the process of getting thumbnails to show for PDFs? I didn't understand horst.epp's response below. I'm using FreeCommander XE 2016 Build 729 64-bit donor.

Thanks

First of all, you must see the pdf thumbnails in Windows Explorer first.

I was getting same error but in my case it was due to improper configuration.!

I installed Acrobat Reader and set the view thumbnails option in that program and I can now see the thumbnails in FCXE. However, there is a bug in FreeCommander XE 2016 Build 730 64-bit donor. When I have the option set for single click file open and viewing thumbnails FCXE doesn't open the drawing.

Marek, we need your help here. When I remove this option so the behavior is the standard double click to open file, the file opens. Single click behavior works when thumbnails are not selected.
