Open favorites in same or new tab (selectively)

#1 Post by kino » 03.06.2020, 13:30

Hello,
The Settings option View > Tree > Management > Open favorites in a new tab
...only allows to choose one behavior or the other globally.
Would it be possible to implement that as right/left click distingo ? (same tab vs. new tab)
Thanks.
K.

You can set a default option and still use right click menu to:
- Open (in same tab)

Or left click to open, middle click to open in new tab.

Hello Dreamer,

Left vs. middle click only works on Favorites Tree items.
It does not from Favorites Menu (nor does it from the Favorites Icon - little hearted folder - in my customized toolbars)

...as of FreeCommander XE 2020 Build 820 64-bit donor on Windows 10 (10.0.17763)

Which, in my standpoint, closely relates to :
viewtopic.php?f=20&t=6465

(favorites item colors are only visible in Favorites Tree, not in Favorites Menu or from the toolbar icon drop-down list)

Is there some intrinsic obstacle coming from the GUI toolkit ? (I know so little about that)

Thanks.

K.

For favorite tools you can use Ctrl+click to open folder in new tab.

I'm just a moderator, Marek is the FC author and I think he already said there is some problem with the middle click, not sure if it was for favorites, but I know he implemented Ctrl+click.

Hello Dreamer,
Beware : I'm talking about "Favorites" menu/icon (bookmarks-alike), *not* about "Favorite Tools"
Nonetheless, it appears your Ctrl+Click happens to work here too.
So I'm good with this feature.
Thanks
K.
