Currently I couldn't find a way to locate the directory of a file in Flat View.
Say Flat Viewing a folder that has say 5 nested sub folders,
I get to see all the files, but I could not tell which subfolder a file is exactly located under.
So I propose to "Track Active Item", refresh and (expand the nested folders and bring to focus) in Folder Tree.
Thanks. Love this tool so far.. keep up the good work.
Update Folder Tree upon clicking on file in Flat View
Re: Update Folder Tree upon clicking on file in Flat View
You can define a custom "column profile" (view menu) with a "path" column.
For this profile you can add the condition "plain view <plain>".
Now you can see the path of the files in plain view in this new column.

Re: Update Folder Tree upon clicking on file in Flat View
As for me, if in plain view file is in nested subfolder, in Status bar there would be shown info about that.
For example, you have folder Test with subfolders Sub1 and Sub2.
Switch ON plain view
If file was in Test folder, there would be no info about it in Status bar - Selected items 1/...
Go to file from Sub1, and in Status bar there would be shown - Sub1\ Selected items 1/..
