Option: Auto-expand folder tree to show subfolders

#1 Post by AimHere » 01.12.2014, 16:26

Hi,

I'd like to see an option added, where if a folder is double-clicked in the files/folders panel, not only will the tree panel expand to show the folder (as in Settings/Tree/Management/"Follow location changes in active panel"), but ALSO, if the folder has sub-folders, have the tree expand to show THEM as well.

Suppose I have a folder "C:\folder1", which contains "Folder2", which in turn contains "FolderA", "FolderB", "FolderC", like this:

C:\Folder1\
Folder2\
FolderA
FolderB
FolderC

I have "Folder1" open, and the files/folders panel shows the single item "Folder2". If I double-click "Folder2", I'd like FreeCommander's Tree panel to expand to show "FolderA"/"FolderB"/"FolderC" in the tree, even though the file/folders panel is showing the contents of "Folder2" and I haven't actually gone into any of the subfolders yet.

Maybe this option could be called "Expand tree to show subfolders of current folder".
