Using CTRL in New folder (F7) to open just created folder

#1 Post by Timon » 17.11.2015, 17:46

Pretty nice feature recently implemented in another file manager - Hold CTRL while pressing Enter (return)/OK button in New folder (F7) dialog and that folder would be opened in the panel

And really, we create new folder, to copy/move something into it. After folder creation we need to open it manually, because currently only cursor is set to that new folder. Why not to automate the process?

I like the keyboard shortcuts, but I don't think this one is needed. When I need to enter the created folder, I just hit Enter twice, I do it automatically and I think it's even easier to press Enter twice than press Ctrl+Enter.

I can help with that. What specific actions do you need automated?
Is it just creating a new folder then opening it?
