Better Default FileManager integration

#1 Post by pOpY » 25.01.2017, 21:35

Hey.

Would be nice if the integration into windows for default opening folders with FC gets an update :D
Currently integration just adds an popup/shell menu entry, so you have to right click the folder and select "Open with FreeCommander".

When you set this shell menu entry to default in windows registry, you cant use the control panel anymore in FC.
Like this in registry:

Code: Select all

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Folder\shell]
@="FreeCommander"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Folder\shell\FreeCommander]
@="Open with FreeCommander"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Folder\shell\FreeCommander\command]
@="\"C:\\Program Files\\FreeCommander XE\\FreeCommander.exe\" /C /L=\"%1\""
The following entry/line from above sets FC to default:

Code: Select all

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Folder\shell]
@="FreeCommander"
Ex.: When you click on "power options" in FC it looks like this: http://imgur.com/a/gwTbI

I have written an small wrapper which opens clsid's in explorer and all other folders in FC.
See here: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=7746

Would be nice if such feature would be implemented.

Keep up the good work, thx
