(1) configurable reset button and ESCAPE key: the configurable reset button would turn off quickly activated features like one panel view, quickfilter, thumbnail view and set to the predefined directories e.g. root directory.
it's fairly exhausting to turn off all these things when you want to go back to your "accustomed" predefined freecommander settings (view) and root directories.
also, the ESCAPE button could be used to go back to the predefined settings and turn off all these features (and jump back to the predefined directories or root directories in both panels).
example:
use of ESCAPE key or button does:
jump back to root directories -----> on/off
left panel -----> choose directory
right panel -----> choose directory
set view to -----> choose detail view, list, tree
turn off flat view -----> on/off
turn off filters -----> on/off
one panel view -----> on/off
(2) use the space key to scroll down e.g. a directory in thunbnail view (e.g. as a turn on/off feature). it's possible to scroll down per arrow down key. but when u use a laptop usage of the space button would be a lot easier. often i also only use the lenovo trackpoint without a mouse so the space bar is the best option to scroll down my images in thumbnail view/one panel view.
thx
p.s. don't know if it's a good idea but who knows...

Re: feature request: reset button, usage of space bar to scroll
For number (1), I think defining your convenient layouts (shortcuts "alt+1", etc) is quite ok.
So, I think there is no need for a new ESCAPE feature.
