Consistent connection to network drives

Hello
I have a number of network drives mapped. If the computer goes to sleep and I awake it, the connection to the drives is lot and I am shown the C: drive instead of path on the network.
I'd really like one of two:
I have a number of network drives mapped. If the computer goes to sleep and I awake it, the connection to the drives is lot and I am shown the C: drive instead of path on the network.
I'd really like one of two:
- (Best) Automatically "ping" the network drive after wakeup so that I can continue where I was, or
- Show an overlay in that tab with a button, "refresh connection" that will refresh in the background - and let me continue my work
