Viewer does not "inherit" case-sensitivity from Se

#1 Post by daveatki » 18.06.2009, 17:08

FreeCommander 2009.2, WinXP Pro SP2

I use Search Files (Alt F7) to search for files containing a lower-case string with the "Case insensitive" box unchecked. A list of files containing the lower-case string is presented.

I select one of the files and press F3 to view it using the internal viewer. The file is opened and positioned at an upper-case instance of the search string.

I press Ctrl-F, and see that the internal viewer is set to search for an upper-case version of my search string, and its "Case sensitive" box is unchecked.

The viewer is not showing me what the search dialog was told to search for, which I would consider a bug-level irritant.

Ideally, the sense of the search dialog's checkbox would be changed to "case sensitive" for the sake of consistency with the viewer's search functions, but that's just a quibble.
