Seeing USB drives on Vista or 7

#1 Post by HERNAN » 20.03.2010, 06:50

I am having the following error:

I cannot see USB drives on Vista or 7. Windows recognizes that drives, and sees them, but FreeeCommander is not allowed to see them.

I use fc2008 and fc2009 now.

Can you say me something?

Thanks.

Try Ctrl+Shift+R (refresh all) after you can see the USB drive in Explorer.

Check your compatibility settings for freecommander.exe:
- right click mouse on freecommander.exe
- change to Compatibility TAB
- make all checkboxes unchecked

Excuse me: I do can see USB drives on Windows Explorer; what I need is to see them on FreeCommander.
When I execute FreeCommander, the USB drives do not appear on the toolbar; and If I use "Folder - Go to folder:..." and I write the letter for the USB, I reveive the message "Invalid drive".

Right?

What type of USB-drive is it?
Maybe a mp3-player?
If it's such a multimedia device with the MTP (Media Transfer Protocol).

Look at:

Is a normal USB-stick recognized by FC?
