Same (false) size of two neigbouring folders

#1 Post by Bucic » 02.11.2007, 19:00

Windows XP
Bug noticed in FreeCommander 2007.10.
Reinstallation (with deletion of config file) of version 2007.5a - same bug.

Following picture shows the situation in two steps.
1. Space pressed on the first folder to count folder size.
2. Space pressed on the second folder - both folders are shown with the size of the seccond folder.

Ssimilar situation with using Alt+F9. Some neigbouring folders share common size (correct only for one of them).

This is my first bug report. Hope I didn't blew it.

Image will follow soon.

I can reproduce the bug - it appears only if sorted by size.

Dziekuje (Thanks) Bucic :)

What I do is (default settings this time).

1. Launch FC.
2. View-Details
3. Sort by size (by pressing column header).
4. Mouse select first folder on one of my drives.
5. Spacebar.
6. Mouse select second folder on the drive.
7. Spacebar.

It should happen now... Let's go further...

8. Spacebar on third folder.
9. Spacabar on fourth folder.

There it is! After step 9th FC displayed fourth folder size and put the same size for third one. Config.Msi is a zero Bytes folder.

10. Spacebar on fifth folder.
Again! FC moved it to second from top position and displayed the same size for two different-sized folders.

11. Exit FC.
12. Launch FC.
13. Alt+F9
14. Lock On FC is over 2GB not 1GB. It shows size for the Autodesk folder.

Note: First, second... folder - alfabeticaly.

EDIT:

Nie ma sprawy! Bardzo zależy mi na tym programie - niecodziennie wkładam tyle pracy w powiadomienie twórców programu o błędzie ;)

Keep up the good work!
