Crash when typing a UNC path at Address Bar

#1 Post by CCrespo » 29.12.2007, 11:31

Just to report what seems to be a issue with FreeCommander:

Description:
Click on Address Bar;
Chose Edit Address Bar;
Start typing a UNC path: when type the first backslash \ the app crash.

Workaround:
Click on the Address Bar;
Click on the “execute bar” (not sure this is the right name) at the bottom of the window;
Type \\server\myshare then press ENTER, and this will open this path;

Version: 2007.10a
OS: Vista Business, PT, all available patches installed

I didn't test this on XP.

I am running Vista Ultimate with FreeCommander 2007.10a and am not able to reproduce this problem. Is this the same "address bar" that <alt-g> (by default) takes you to?

This feature can not be used. use the Command line as an appropriate alternative.

use righ click on the status bar and select the "Show Command Line" option from the popup menu.
