Filtering does not work as expected

#1 Post by jarmod » 10.01.2008, 18:38

Using 2007.10a on XP Pro.

There's no help with FreeCommander at present (that's another bug) so I can't read up on how filters work but they don't seem to work the way I'd expect.

A filter of "x*" includes files that contain the letter "x" anywhere -- I'd expect it to include only files strictly beginnning with the letter "x". To get the former I'd expect to use "*x*".

PS I think the two 'Activate quick filter' and 'Deactivate quick filter' buttons should be one button and it should show depressed if active and raised if deactive.

The help file you can find here http://freecommander.com/fc_languages.htm, but is not up-to-date.

If you mean 'Set Filter' with Ctrl+F, that works exactly you expect: shows only files beginnning with the letter "x".
