File Checking - SFV, CRC, MD5, SHA1

#1 Post by mcKidney » 25.11.2008, 10:03

Hi,
Good work!

There is just one thing i would like to see in FreeCommander.
There are many implemantions outside FreeCommander, but this is something a file manager should have.

Checking files by algoritms for SFV(CRC), MD5, SHA1.
Good things coming qith this feature are:
- Recursive works (Check for every child in a file tree selected)
- Creating those files/values
- Checking Values Directly(User input)

If this is allready implemented, please tell me so ;)

MD5 is implemented under the file-menu.

sfv would be nice too... md5 and sfv checksums are two types that can be seen most often.

I ursually use special simple tools to calculate the most useful MD5 & SHA-1.
These tools can calculate a lot of hashes and sometimes can crypt file or plaintext too :)
