Folder > Sync: check the "Archive bit"

#1 Post by zhong_qiyao » 23.08.2010, 08:06

Version: 2009.02a

1. Go to Folder > Synchronise.

2. PROBLEM: There is no way to say whether to check the Archive bit is "on",
"off", or "don't care"; or just "on" or "don't care".

3. SUGGESTION: Microsoft DOS's Archive bit is for marking
changed files for archiving. Sometime, we would like to
use FreeCommander to do compare, but to exclude a chunk
of files from backing up. We can mark those files
as "Don't Archive" and have FreeCommander ignore during
Folder Compare. I suggest adding a checkbox to represent
the "Archive" state, either of two methods:

[ ] Archive = off only
[V] Archive = on only
[?] Archive = don't care

[ ] Archive bit only = don't care
[V] Archive bit only = on only

Thanks.
