"Swap panels" button suggestions

#1 Post by Dreamer » 15.11.2007, 01:24

Option to use any (or none) button instead of "swap panels" button, or at least these:

- swap panels
- close (current) tab
- new tab
- change drive (for current pane/tab)
- disable completely

Re: "Swap panels" button **position**

#2 Post by zhong_qiyao » 29.09.2010, 09:26

Version: 2009.02a

The current "swap pane" (swap panel) button is located on the right side,
between the right-side path, and the right-side buttons,
thus in the middle of controls specific to the right side.

It is in a strange position.

A better position is between the left pane and the right pane,
whether there is empty space between the two row of disc drive icons.

Thanks.

@Dreamer, I am not sure I correctly understand your comment "use any (or none) button instead of "swap panels" button", but I would say most (well, all) of your request have short cut key already.

- swap panels
You can configure a "swap panels" button to be visible in the middle-tool-bar (a.k.a. the splitter), or you can just use CTRL+U

- close (current) tab
You can use CTRL+W

- new tab
You can use CTRL+T

- change drive (for current pane/tab)
I did not know, but then I just learn it from the menu->Extras->Keyboard Shortcuts, it is ALT+F1 and ALT+F2

- disable completely
I did not know, nor did I think it is necessary, but again, Extras->keyboard shortcuts teach me a trick: SHIFT+CTRL+F1 or F2 or F3. Cool!

And don't thank me for all above, thank Marek for building this great software instead!
