Global Hotkeys

What do you think about global hotkeys for FC? Major use, i think - restore FC from tray with no mouse click.

Workaround - HotkeyP - free, only 106kB. You can create also a global shortcut to start, close, minimize, minimize to tray FC... You can control any program with HotkeyP, change and create new global and standard non-global shortcuts and also use many useful features. Read Help for more information.

Thank you for the useful link!
Unfortunally, I did not found the way to restore from tray for existing instance of FC or another existing tray icon (but maybe i'm not just too smart?))). As a compromise, I assign "run FC" to a hotkey with "allow only one instance" FC option, that works almost the same way (shows the window but just did not set focus). Still searching.

Try this:
- enable "Allow only one instance" in FC
- enable "minimize to system tray" in FC
- create this command in HotkeyP:
Command: C:\Program Files\FreeCommander\FreeCommander.exe
Parameters:
Window: minimized
It should start FC and then toggle between - minimize FC to tray and restore FC.

this one is not necessary
i'm talking about this way in my previous comment. The problem is - appearing window has no focus

Do you tried everything I wrote? It works good here.
Note: You need to restart FC when you change the settings (above).
BTW Merry Christmas!

This workaround is really slow

I tried the workaround mentioned here and got it working. However it is really slow. On my computer it takes about 6 seconds for the window to restore from the tray using the HotkeyP method, as opposed to having it restore instantly when I double click on the tray icon (presumably because HotkeyP is launching the executable instead of restoring a minimize application). In light of this, is there any chance of having a global restore hotkey added to this application?
