Improved copy and move function is highly recommended.
Like in total commander but better
You can also add resume function. I need this when I copy large file from one computer to another over wifi (shared folder) - TC sux
You can beat TC :)

Copying freezes FC

#18 Post by KrimmT » 20.02.2009, 09:47

The most annoying thing about the program is that it is practically impossible to do any folder browsing during copying. Changing the process priority with Process Explorer does not seem to help the issue either. What I would very much like to see would be the possibility to put several copy/move operations to work at the background so that it would be possible to browse the folders or use other FC functionality at the same time. Should not be impossible to implement?

Extended copy/move functionality is essential for file manager indeed. It would be of the greatest benefit to have more options and control over the process, copy/move queues and in-place copy/move. IMO it's the key productivity features.

I think it would be also convenient if there is a menu option for external file copy support (see relevant topic)

Also, I hope that there would be added the ability to create iso images.

Keep up the great job :]

I would like a feature where one can copy the directory/folders only, without the files in them.

In other words, for example, on C dive you would have a directory with a lot of folders. There are loads of files is each folder. With this function one can copy the folders (and not the files) to D drive.
