Strange problem importing video files from FreeCommander

#1 Post by zbernie » 18.01.2020, 05:16

Whew! I got this working. I found the issue was with the path names to the files location. Using the UNC path resulted errors when I attempted to drag and drop. I found if I use the logic drive letter Z: it works. All is well with the world again. :P

Drag and drop works
Z:\Media_Library\Family_Media\2015

Drag and drop does NOT work
\\ds418\Media Library\Family_Media\2015

I just ran into a peculiar problem importing mp4 video files from FreeCommander into Pinnacle Studio. When I drag and drop a video file, I get an error saying that it's not the correct type of video file or it's too large. Neither is the case. I tried dragging the same file from XYplorer and Windows Explorer, and it works. I'm not sure why there is an issue dragging from FC 810, but this is a major issue for me as I cannot continue with video editing, at least not using FC. I don't understand because dragging and dropping videos just several days ago worked.

Any suggestions how to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.
