Fixing tabs

#1 Post by Didimba » 26.03.2021, 05:41

Hello!
I cant figure out how to make tabs stay on their places, to fix them
I have multi-line option on, and when I activate a tab in the top line it moves to the bottom, then it can move back or stay there, so I cant navigate easily.
I need all tabs to be strongly fixed, and have only new ones opening on the right. Kindly ask to give a solution or how you manage with it
Thanks

Maybe you can lock the tabs and shorten all tab names to have only one tab row.

Workarounds are possible, you can use any of these or all:

- "Maximum length of the tab title" - use 5-10
- "show icons"
- "use large images"
- lock important tabs
- use custom icons for important tabs
- use "-" as name for locked tabs with custom icons to hide name completely, this way it's like "pin tab" feature in web browsers

If you set good icons, it will be intuitive and text will not be needed, other tabs will be with the name.
I'm using this way and I don't need name for locked tabs.
