BUG REPORT XE locks up with MP3tag

#1 Post by the accountant » 14.01.2011, 11:53

When i am in directory which is renamed in another program, Freecommander XE locks up for about 2 minutes before i change directory.

I am using windows 7 32bit.

Is there anywhere i can download the portable zip Freecommander 2008 or 2009 version since i cannot remember having any of these problems earlier, that i have endured with releases 2009b and 2009a?

Thanks

Could you provide step by step description how to reproduce your problem with XE?

For example i am in a directory U2-Greatest hits.

Files are named track no. Name

When i edit the album using mp3tag this i rename all files in format

Artist- Album - Track no - Title

and rename folder simultaneously

Artist - Album - Year [File Type - Birate - Cover or no Cover - Genre]

In previous version of filecommander I get message folder/ file not found but i go up a level straight away. In XE, I cannot go up as XE chokes.

I hope this is enough info - if you need more i can send it to you.

PS On a separte issue, If i select several folders to drag up to next level, XE assumes my command is copy. If i select one folder to drag up to next level it assumes correctly that this is a move. How can i make XE assume that make selection of multiple directories is a move not a copy. I have not changed the default copy move configs but I am running this in portable mode.
