Ctrl+Shift+N can not creat new file

I noticed this problem long time ago and thought it will be fixed soon.

However, until 0.544 donor preview it is still there.

Please check.

Windows 7 Home Basic 32bit

the latest version I can see is 545 in the beta site, please check.
