Save Settings version 547

#1 Post by BGM » 01.08.2011, 22:05

Hello, y'all! I think that we should have an option that FCXE will save settings when it loses focus. That way, I can access the most recent data regarding open tabs in the ini file - and I can do some external scripting - like getting the path of the directory last open tab into a variable that I can use in other programs - but I need FC to save that data for me. I suppose I could write assign a hotkey to "Save Settings" and then use sendkeys to make FC save its settings, but this results in FC becoming active again. If FC could just do it, then it would be great!

Also, we cannot assign a "save settings" button to our actions toolbar - the command does not show in the list.

Please change your English.lng file - add the line

actExtrSettingsSave=Save Settings; Saves the settings

after
actExtrSettings=&Settings... ; Shows dialog box to edit settings

So, is there any chance we can have the option to save settings when FC loses focus?
