And another question related to those fields (from toolbar buttons settings):
what is "SIL:10" expression in relation to icons path? Is there a way to display them all and to choose one (SIL:0, SIL:1, SIL:2 etc)?

When Group Index is 0, the button behaves independently of all other buttons.
Buttons with the same Group Index property value (other than 0), work together as a group. When the user clicks one of these buttons, it remains selected until the user clicks another button belonging to the same group.

SIL is for System Image List. You could use other values too. The constants are CSIDL constants defined by Microsoft. You can find the values on the web, e.g. http://svnpenn.blogspot.com/2011/01/csi ... tants.html.

Marek, does it matter then, what the other numbers are for Group Index? Does 1 or 2 or 3 have any special designation, or does the user decide that? So if I set three buttons to and index of oh, say, 35, then they will toggle each other?

Yes. But you should use, for your own groups, better bigger numbers, say, from 2000.

Marek, I tried to change the Group Index to 2000, but FC resets it to 0 or 100 on its own. And the spinner buttons in the edit dialogue won't allow you to go past 100.

Also, I have the three buttons: Flat View (files), Flat View (folders), and Flat View (Files & Folders). Now, I set the first to buttons to index of 51 (arbitrary), so they toggle each other - but there is no way, at that point, to turn them off using buttons. I have to use keyboard commands or menu commands to turn it off. How can I add "reset" to index of 51? I think that if I click the first button, the button should depress; but if I click it again, it turns the function off. However, if I don't click it to turn it off, and push the second button, then it should become depressed and then switch modes. If I push a depressed button, it should turn the function off.

It works for me exactly as you wish.
Please remove the three buttons from toolbar and try to define again.

Thanks, Marek, actually, I was trying to bump the "Explanation of Group Index" - I would like to understand what these numbers mean and do.

I thought, it is clear.
What do you want to know?

I am sure it is clear to you! :P

It seems that the limits of the index numbers are 0 an 100.
Will the index numbers affect *all* buttons with that index? What would happen if I set the sort buttons *and* the flat view buttons to 50? Or, are the sort buttons contained to their own index, while the view-type buttons contained to a separate index?

Is 0 the default index for all buttons?

What happens if each sort button is set to a different index?
