simple secure delete for now

#1 Post by acompany » 27.03.2012, 12:35

Hi Marek,

thanks much for your commanderXE donors versions,

one question, could you possibly add some simple form of secure delete (file shredder), i love commanderXE very much but i always need this function that was in old commander.

I mean some lite form with just one pass and simple zeroing algorythm would do great meanwhile if you
could add it.

Best regards to you :)

Use the wipe command in file menu or add wipe (Securely deletes the selected items) to your toolbar or use Ctrl + Shift + F8.

I am posting about freecommaner XE beta, where wipe is not implemented yet. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Donors have access to the latest beta version. At the moment v 582 which has the wipe command implemented.
Which version do you use?

I'm not shure if it was implemented in public FCXE v 570.

OK, you're right, the command is reachable in the menu, but the wipe-function isn't implemented.
Not tried to use the function before.
