New version of the FcContextMenu64.exe
Re: New version of the FcContextMenu64.exe
Marek, yes, I can see it in the process list. Whenever I right-click on something, I can see another instance of it open so that there are two. One instance seems to always be running.
The first process runs with this (it never closes):
"C:\FreeCommanderXE\FcContextMenu64.exe" "-POSITION=738,793" "-FILE=C:\Users\BRGABR~1\AppData\Local\Temp\FreeCommander6748\9084.tmp" -SENDER=200666 -AUTOCLOSE=20
the new process looks like this (it opens and closes):
"C:\FreeCommanderXE\FcContextMenu64.exe" "-POSITION=728,568" "-FILE=C:\Users\BRGABR~1\AppData\Local\Temp\FreeCommander6748\E9EE.tmp" -SENDER=200666 -AUTOCLOSE=20
No, dummy me didn't save the old version...

Re: New version of the FcContextMenu64.exe
Is C:\FreeCommanderXE\FcContextMenu64.exe really the new version? Please check the property version info.
Re: New version of the FcContextMenu64.exe
Marek, it says "File Version" 1.1.02

It is right version.Marek, it says "File Version" 1.1.02
Can you open 32 bit context menu?
Re: New version of the FcContextMenu64.exe
I'm sorry, how do I do that?

Re: New version of the FcContextMenu64.exe
I found a copy of 1.1.02, and it has the same problem.
I found 1.0.0.5, and it will actually bring up a menu.

Re: New version of the FcContextMenu64.exe
1. Open context menu while pressed Win key.
2. Permanently - define the line "ShowContextMenu64Bit=0" in the Form section of the freecommander.ini
Have you tried to start FcContextMenu64 per double click? The tray icon must be visible.

Re: New version of the FcContextMenu64.exe
Marek, yes, I have tried to start it via double-click. The icon won't show for me anymore.
Yes, the win+click trick works perfectly (is that how you get the 32bit menu?)
I quit FC and added the entry to the ini file, as you said. The menu works now, even with the latest version of FcContextMenu64 in the application folder. It's pretty snappy, too.

Re: New version of the FcContextMenu64.exe
For 32 bit context menu you do not need FcContextMenu64 at all.I quit FC and added the entry to the ini file, as you said. The menu works now, even with the latest version of FcContextMenu64 in the application folder. It's pretty snappy, too.
I will try to create special debug version and send you in the next days.

Re: New version of the FcContextMenu64.exe
Sorry, Marek. I just sent you the results.

Re: New version of the FcContextMenu64.exe
I have updated the FcContextMenu64.exe.
Re: New version of the FcContextMenu64.exe
Thanks, Marek! That works just ducky.

Re: New version of the FcContextMenu64.exe
Thank you for the entry "ShowContextMenu64Bit=0".
Even though I wouldn't mind using FcContextMenu64 it
annoys me terribly that obviously it tries to "call home" on
every right-click.
Denying it throws an error message.
Is it really necessary to connect to the Internet when trying
to open a context menu?
