Cannot Empty recycle bin

#1 Post by Gianny111 » 21.08.2012, 21:50

I just installed Public Preview of FreeCommander XE v 0.0.0.591. Since that time I found out that I'm unable to empty the Windows recycle bin. If I try to do so, FC XE crash. Once I try to do so in Windows Explorer or through Desktop icon context menu, Windows explorer crash.

Running Vista HP 32 bit.

Anyone else with this issue?

It's not a FC issue, since it happens with Explorer, it's the Windows issue - it has nothing to do with the FC. It might be some kind of virus, spyware, or similar issue.

Sorry to say, but I really think this IS FC related issue.

1. It appeared directly after FC XE installation. Never, really never before.
2. No virus, nor spyware detected by several scanners
3. Just uninstalled FC XE and the issue has gone.

Hm.. strange, where have you installed FC? Try to uninstall it and re-install to drive D: - or at least outside the Program Files directory.

Sure, it was, common Program files directory.

As I remember correctly, it started once I was playing around with move, copy and delete handlers settings. When I changed them to FC instead of Windows regular.

Now I have reinstalled FC XE (even back to Program files directory) and so far it's working as it should.
