When I rename a file, it immediately moves to the position as per its new name.
When I have to rename several files, it is inconvenient to go back to the previous position where next file is there that I had to rename.
I think Windows explorer doesn't make files jump to their new position in the file name index. So, we can rename all and then refresh and then it arranges files as per new names. I think that is good method.
How do I prevent file jumping to renamed position right after renaming.
Thanks.

Re: How to prevent file jumping to renamed position
I second this. Individually renaming a succession of files is quite tiresome because of that instant repositioning.

same here -- but then again it can be very useful, too! if implemented, then OPTIONAL!Philip Goddard wrote:I second this. Individually renaming a succession of files is quite tiresome because of that instant repositioning.
